It’s not often that creative, civically minded people find a path to connect with the business community in a way that helps to display artwork and enhance not only the space the work is featured in, but also the region they live in as a whole. However, an example of that is exactly what is happening in Akron.
The Gallery at The East End is a new space whose inaugural show runs through December. It is located in a small “cafe area” off the lobby and food court area of The East End development, a 1.4 million-square-foot, mixed-use redevelopment at the former Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. world headquarters on East Market Street.
